I think BBC is the greatest media in the world and British literature is amazing.I think British people are serious,but they do have their own sense of humor. When I get it,I love it. The Great Britain changed the world. Britain invaded many countries including China. Britain forced China to trade with her in an unfair way and robbed much silver from China,making this old country poorer and making people of her miserable. However,our historians admit that Britain accelerated China's civilization progress. People talk a lot about HK and Britain these days.For me,I can understand why some HK people would rather HK go back to Britain.They have good reasons.However,when HK ruled by Britain,it didn't get democracy.After coming back to China,it got democracy step by step,though there is a lot to do in the future.I think it's good thing to fight for more freedom and democracy.And there is a great chance that HK can be a model of democratic construction of mainland China.But it's not good to deny history and idealize Britain era.[CN]

I like Brits. Not least because of their great contributions like http://sickipedia.org; but they demonstrated valor, integrity and resilience more than others throughout the peaks and troughs of her history. Of course, Briton pillaged China during the 19th century through the Opium wars. But it is not fair to judge history with present day's standards. To be honest, any country could've pillaged China at that time given how terrible a shape she was in.If we compare amongst the colonial powers of that time, Briton's ex-dominions (USA, Canada, Aus, NZ, HK) seemed to fare quite well relative to other new world countries under France, Spain etc. Some people say the Brits are too proud, I think they quite earned it: afterall they didn't bow down to the Fuhrer, unlike, umm, the other proud country.[CN]

Graceful accent. Everyone seems to graduate from Cambridge or Oxford: Steven Fry, TomHiddleston, Hugh Laurie, etc.Lots of old, historical, remarkable colleges. The first and best TV channel in the world with incredibly high quality and nothing commercial. Horrible food. Some seems nice but most of them looks noway ediable.Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Sherlock Holmes.. You live in a literatural heavenland!!Complicated relationship with Americans.More complicated relationship with French guys.Nothing is more complicated than what between England and Scotland.Humour, in a different way. 优雅的口音.好像人人都是从剑桥或牛津毕业的一样：Steven Fry, TomHiddleston, Hugh Laurie等等…很多古老的、历史悠久的、卓越非凡的大学。世上第一个以及最好的电视频道，质量高到没谱，还没有广告穿插。吃的很差。很多看起来不错，但大多数看起来就不能吃。

Generally, if you say you are a British, Chinese don't feel bad about it. But when it comes to a specific person, it differs of course. If we think British as general and vague conception, we may say, they are gentle, they love music and art, they have a special way to be humorous, etc. Another fact I believe only Chinese could understand with a smile is that, we call The Great Bratain "腐国"(a cute expression of saying this country has many gays:)). Because Braitain makes a lot of excellent movies and TV series which contain much passion between males!lol[CN]
