Would be nnice if this weren't an ad. When you wish upon a star etc. Does make a difference when you can pay..Shocking story if you think about it. And why should signing be anything other than normal? Disability legislation, good business practice and commonsense should make this the norm. Disney is not known for being caring...but it spends on promotion...

Wah, wah, wah, waaaaahhhhhh. The only thing missing from your comment was the word 'sheeple.'

This would be a lovely story had it not been a blatant advertisement....I was under the impression that 'click bait' for the DM was confined to condemning grown women but apparently its now acceptable to receive advertising revenue from pulling on peoples heart strings through videos of little deaf girls. Brilliant.

Evidently you struggle to understand sarcasm and 'big words', so I'll try to simplify it for you...'lovely story, its a shame the DM has tried to appropriate it in order to make money'....

Why is it "American sign language"

Words are spelled different. Plus they say gotten!

Because it is America, same reason that British Sign Language is used here. They are similar and I believe that can usually understand each other - a friend's wife knows BSL and was able to help an American tourist who was using ASL.

DizzytixReply toNomiS
Because that's what it is. Just like the UK has BSL

Because it's the main sign language that is used in the USA. Lots of countries have their own sign languages. Hit Google, and educate yourself.

In the same way that French Sign Language is different to German Sign Language.

As much as I love this story, it's months old. Lazy DM journalists picking stuff off Facebook.

Or perhaps one of the few people with enough intelligence to tell the difference between a sneaky advert and a normal story in the deceitful DM?

uk_jokeoftheplanetReply toAndrew
It's a nice story in a world where there is few good news so I couldn't care less if it is an advert and I couldn't care less how much people reckon Disney paid for it . It's a lovely story .

It is great but it's also 100% set up, I doubt for a minute that all the characters can do sign language.
