who is the POS that just stood there and watched. There are two serious problems here that need addressed. Society as a whole needs to step the H377 up.

I don't care if he was in a drunken stupor or not. This was certainly inexcusable. I wish I China has these Robin Hood vigilante gang-types and beat some senses into whackjobs like these.

Rich (or think they are) Chinese arsholes... I see them all over. They think their lives are more important than others'. They drive their cars on the sidewalk and honk their horns for pedestrians to get out of the way. They blow through crosswalks the same way, putting poorer people at risk. They treat everyone around them like garbage...restaurant staff, shop clerks, even their own employees. I've come close to blows because they don't realize Americans won't tolerate their disrespectful and dangerous ways.

These two are bigger than the street vendor so they feel real brave. They don't fear arrest or reprisal because they're likely the offspring of some rich family with connections. The police will do nothing, they're too lazy and know the thugs are connected.

The vendor was trying to salvage her hard work. The baozi are probably hand made. If she can, she'll sell them to unsuspecting buyers.

In the end, money will make everyone forget what happened. There will be no punishment for the two idiots. In China, "sorry, here's some money" solves every person's offenses.

I don't want to see it as a Chinese, but what you say is real.

That may be true, but if this story made it all the way to the western media, what are the chances that the man doing the stomping will ever be able to live this down for the rest of his life? Sometimes, public embarrassment is the only thing rich, well connected people fear. Good on the person who took the pics and made this monster known to all. And plus, whenever people pass by this vendor on the streets, you can be damn sure they'll buy something from her. Heck, if i lived in Beijing, i'd be headed down there right now.

Hu Jin Tao is right. I lived in Shanghai almost 6 years and saw examples of what he's talked about on almost a daily basis.

You people who have experience with Chinese bad behavior need to know the difference between them and the others that fled China to Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and other places when the commies won the war. This is the product of CCP rule.

Arrest and imprison the miscreant for a minimum of 10 years. He tried to destroy her means of making an honest living. What if, as a consequence, she has to become a prostitute to earn a living. Arrest these "fudder-muckers" and throw butts UNDER the jail!

I hope he has to pay for every bun, out of his high salary. Fined and a short prison time.

Then why the hell do you still use the wrong bun flavor angle in the story and then only at the end clarify that it was something else she wasn't even involved in! She was a bystander...

More reasons why the Chinese are not under control. Chinese tourists are known for their bad behavior, now I guess its exposing its ugly head in China where people there are out of control.

I think the bullies having to pay her for the loss of product is better than arresting them. If they get arrested she gets nothing.

This is murder. If these hooligans won't be severely punished, it will only encourage others with this type of unacceptable behaviours.

Being negotiated: Pay for damages or go to jail... not much of a negotiation... it is China... and you don't want to go to jail... no matter how entitled you feel walking down the street.

The result of class arrogance. I've seen this type of Chinese before. They share a commonality with the same mindset one would find on Wall Street, that they are better than people who work for a living.

Basic skum whose only achievement in life is that they don't have to work for their money.

This is just the result of systemic racism and poverty. As I've learned from the US media , that is literally the only reason crime exists. It's never the responsibility of the criminals, or the community supporting the criminal with "no snitchin", its always racism's fault. It has to be the same in other countries.

Karen's vanila responce is the essance of Political Correctness - this is the bland response of the future. Political Correctness destroys creativity.

Raymond how does Karen's post have anything to do with political correctness? I'm guessing Raymond that you are a Donald Trump supporter and have heard him use the term P.C. a couple million times and now you are stuck on it. People like Raymond are only capable of processing one thought per decade. Apparently Raymond has chose P.C. for his one thought this decade.

@James - you are a knuckle head. Like most young people and blacks - you don't have a a clue about the depths of Political Correctness. PC is a little policeman inside your head - that says - can't say this - can't say that... Eventually your creativity is stunted. If you had read -and could compare and contrast - 19th century Russian Literature - from 20th century-post --Regency period - then you would know what I am talking about. The expression "politically correct" had it's genesis in the speech of the Bolshevik Commissary. You @James-are a pedestrian Dolt.

My father was a red guard, violent, shameless, disgraceful, wicked, coward.

the culture of Chinese red guard always prey on the week, and they never will stand up against someone powerful than them.

So they bully in school, at workplace, in their family, their best anthem quote:

the strongest prevails.

they have no moral stand, Chinese btwn 75-55, are a bunch of thugs, most of them. They are Mao's product.

That guy is the product of his parents, the red guards.

Isn't this also America's way of life????

[ 0 ] [ 0 ]
DavidIReply toAntiAnimalSuffering

You are wrong. I am one of the 75-55, I was in China at that time and I was not one of Mao's product. Instead, most of the people in their 75-55 now are victim of Mao as the red guards, the communists and their associates were a small part of the population, but they control the guns.

AntiAnimalSufferingReply toAntiAnimalSuffering

Andrew,

90% population is like that is not generalization, when we can be true to ourselves and talk about matters in polite way, we progress.

better than hiding it, covering it right?

Americans are not victims of Mao, the red guards and their family and society are the victims of themselves.

People have to face it, talk about it, that's called history of balanced justice!!!

I went to a large chinese restaurant in Atlanta with a fellow that was very close friends with the owner. The owner came to talk with us, and he said that just the day before two chinese mafia type had come in and told him he was going to have to start paying protection money. We're talking current Atlanta. Money does not trickle down, but evil does. Evil rises to the top, and then trickles down. We leave in the darker ages, and very few see through the constant media brainwashing to see how little knowledge is every allowed down to the average person. We just keep sharecropping for uncle sam.

I'm sure John is benefiting from wealth redistribution through taxation and is still looking for excuses for his lack of success.
