There's something wrong with the modern mainland Chinese way of thinking. The outlook is so selfish and ultimately self-defeating. It's not even just their government. Perhaps it's something to do with having within a generation gone from the average city-dweller having almost nothing to being able to afford more than one property and as much consumer garbage as they can get their hands on.
