In the first instance talk to a librarian (local library) that's what they do they categorise stuff. They will know exactly who to contact.

Thank you Jared Enos. Your great grandfathers are very proud of you. As for the rest of us, how could we have squandered the inheritance left to us by those who won that war? Look at the US and the UK today. We don't even bother to defend the borders that our ancestors established and preserved with their own blood!

I just love these photos and will keep them. I am reading the Band of Brothers and Beyond Band of Brothers books for the umpteenth time at the moment. Richard Winters and Buck Compton were Super Heroes, as were their men, as were so many men of the allies. Where would we bewithout their guts and determination ? Both heroes survived the war and went on to bigger and greater lives.....but their ilk is so precious and we MUST keep their memories alive. Read the books - you will be astounded. (MT - Devon) Near Slapton Sands, where many young men died before D-Day.

thep ictures are good, the captions are crap. for example "Lt Col Buck Compton" Compton never rose about the level of Lt and in the picture is clearly showing the brass shoulder bar of a 2nd LT. about 14,000 men served in the 442nd alone far more Japanese Americans served in the military, There are lots of other errors but these two are the most easily checked. so is the author making such stupid mistakes or did dm , as usual, blow it and in so doing cheapen these pics.

Everyone crapping on the caption with "fighter jets", no, fighter jets were not common. Did the Germans have them? Yes.

Simply beautiful. Looking back on the war is far safer than being there. Heroes all.

These vivid, evocative photos prove that the ultimate sacrifices made by that generation must never ever be forgotten by present and future generations. This collection, particularly the portraits, are both striking and powerful-- Brilliant job, Jared

Since youth, I have dreamed of a world without war, but it seems that is not meant to be, for very long.

These men and women never thought twice about bravery, loyalty & love of country. Thought provoking for sure

The fact is, the kids today do not care! It is that simple. They have nothing to compare it too and they will tell you it is ancient history and does not matter. Very sad commentary on the education system(s) which are more concerned every student feels good about themselves then actually teaching them. I doubt the West will exist, as we know it, 50 years.

Maybe they're doing their part to conquer Europe. Why Europe is allowing this is beyond me.
