The Greatest Generation! If millennials were ever tasked with a mission like this, the battle would be lost before it was ever fought.AllenReply toSleutels
De Gaulle did his best to keep us out of the Common Market.Their farmers have survived since then due to EU handouts quite largely funded from our EU 'subscriptions.Having let thousands of migrants into France they now want to dump them all on us. What more do you want, or perhaps even expect from the French.france2-0germanyhaha
I don't like looking at old pictures. It make me sad to think all the soldiers and civilians in the photos are gone due to war or old age. All gone just like that.pugseyReply tofrance2-0germanyhaha
John,South Dakota .The facts are that since 1968 1,516,863 Americans have died through gun related crime compared to 1,200,00 Americans killed in EVERY war America has been involved in.Source New York Times and Globalresearch.com.I'm sure there are other verified sources you can check as well.Peter Martin
I trained national servicemen in ground combat during the fifties. Today I celebrate my 83rd birthday. It is not fair to underestimate the present generation. Weapons and techniques may have changed, but I am sure, if push comes to shove, with proper training in military skills, the present generation will respond to the challenge.grogsy
Colorized, are you for real DM, there is English and then there are mistakes, sort your act out and get a dictionary outOuch_the_Truth
Amazing pictures! For the record of the small minded people on here. Neither the U.S. or Great Britain won the war alone. It is never spoken of or taught in schools but it really was a World War. Almost every country in the world declared war on either Germany or Japan. Look it up it is quite interesting to read about units from countries you would never associate with WWII.groo
Just imagine what the world would be like if we made the same technological advancements and innovations during times of peace that were made during WWII.Germany was a powerhouse of engineering there's no denying that no matter which side you were on.
