Crocs can move fast. And in any case, not knowing it was there, she could have stayed longer to take other shots, thus losing time to get away. If she did stray and the croc didn't attack, it'd mean it wasn't hungry at that time. However, crocs can attack for territorial reasons, not just for food. So she was in danger.

Crocs have larders under water. They will often kill and put it in the larder for later. Maybe the croc forget it's Aldi token that day.

@Reactionary hyena. You're right! Crocs take their kill under water and wedge them in a gap at the river's edge, as they prefer to eat the meat when its partly decayed anyway. But if a croc has only just eaten and is digesting, it'll rest, so won't kill again until later.
