China Successfully Tests Hypersonic Weapon System

Isn't it amazing that our politicians and religious "leaders" are fretting over who someone sleeps with and which bathroom one uses while China is stealing our weapons in order to use them against us?

Will they be delivering my pork fried rice with this? How long will it take China to rush me my pickup with this new missile? I am excited over the quicker service!!

I bet we have a Laser Defense System (Star Wars) that is so good it can zap missiles. Who really thinks that they did away with that technology when Reagan was in office. It's probably perfected by now...

China needs to be ready fast. Otherwise, we, the west may invade China again like happened 176 years ago to enforce opium trades and 116 years ago of our G8 invasion, that robbed all their gold and silver and other treasure.

Sounds like Every country needs a Ballistic Missile intercept System. I hear they can lock on and fire within 9 seconds.

What a waste of time and resources. Don't they realize Global warming, er, Climate Change,er, ah, Climate Crisis, or is it now Extreme Weather, anyway they need to be banning lightbulbs, not tinkering with this stuff.

200-300 nuclear missiles would devastate the U.S. Just consider what a few hijacked airliners did. A first strike of that magnitude...yikes.

isn't that nice not only are they outright stealing our technology but we are paying for its development since they own most of our countries debt.

Who knew the Chinese stole so much of our technologies?

Chinese are great at finding people on the inside and paying them large sums of money and favors in return for intelligence, code, trade secrets.. you name it. Then, in most cases they sell the products back to us or to the rest of the world for cheap. We're the ones spending all the money on innovation and they reap all the rewards.

What? We failed but they succeeded! We were told they can only steal our technology!!!

We should have let Reagan continue and develop the ''star wars laser guiding system'' - that would have properly countered something like this.

This is outrageous. That the Russian Cossack and the Chinese villagers are developing hypersonic weapons at the same time AS THE UNITED STATES!!??? The US should already be developing space laser satellites, robot armies and antimatter rail guns. The rest of the world should be in awe of us. NOT NECK AND NECK WITH US!!!

This is mis-information. The USA has fractile sub-munitions that can obliterate any target on earth in minutes, and instead of 2020 being operational for our hypersonic weapons, they are already deployed and can wipe out anything, anywhere, anytime if need be. We have had this capability for some years now, how silly to say we are still working on it....

Meanwhile we are focussed on a few Mid- Easterners living in tents and doing the equivalent of throwing rocks at us. China, N. Korea, Iran - they're more likely to pose a real threat to the West.

these weapons have to be real first...which they arent...the WU-14 is a morphing work in progress that gets modified as details about it get shot down....originally it was just a really fast cruise missile...now its a hypersonic cruise missile that uses a ballistic booster to get it within range....the next model will have nuclear propulsion, VTOL capability so it can cut through the carrier hull and land a team of re-indoctrinated SEALs (done by the missile of course).
