Jaw surgery can massively change the nose so I don't think she has had rhinoplasty.

Agreed. There is a distinctive bump is the first picture that is not there is the second. The nose, like the chin, is a bone. The change to one bone does not alter the other. This girl has had more work than what is being admitted to in this article.

If you look at the X-ray you can see that it isn't an implant. The surgeon has separated the lowest portion of the jaw bone by cutting it apart from the rest of the mandible and advanced it forwards ,then repositioned it and secured it in place with what looks like a metal plate framework and screws.

Why? She is 18. Boys generally keep growing until they are 18, but girls usually stop growing by 15. I'm sure the surgeon gave her an 'adult' jaw at her age.

As someone who had this type of surgery, it does not always come off so well. My jaw is lop sided as a result (I have a beard). You only ever see the good results. I would not recommend it.
