Oh my goodness, what a decision to have to make.I wouldn't want to even think what I would do in such an awful predicament.

What a horrible decision she had to make. What a brave lady.

I'd do the same. There's no comparison between a 12 week foetus and fully formed, living, breathing human being.

You all should read "My Sister's Keeper" a novel about a similar scenario, and no I would not make that choice but it is hers to make.

What a gut wrenching decision to be faced with. Had she kept the baby she would live with the guilt of not saving her brother for the rest of her life, the stress would likely affect her pregnancy which could of led to a miscarriage or premature labour. Wish the family all the best and hope that everything works out for them.

She made a brave decision. Someone's written on here that life is a gift from God (referring to her baby). This reasoning surely also applies to her brother?? She obviously felt she could save her brother and go on to have a child at another time. If it's what she wanted to do, then it's no-ones business to comment. It's OK being a pro-lifer, but when it happens to you then and only then you will know what's right.

I think she made the best decision she could for her family and no one should judge her.

she can always choose to have another baby, she cannot choose to save her brother's life when it is no longer possible to save him.. i respect her decision and while i may not have done the same thing as her. it is one of the bravest things i have read about all week, her family will be forever indebted to her, she should be feeling proud of her selflessness.
