Humans will NOT survive another 1,000 years on Earth, says Stephen Hawking: Physicist warns we must 'escape beyond our fragile planet'

Gibberish, but conveniently predicted for a time nobody alive now will ever see.

Stephen is right about many things (nobody knows better than him so we wouldn't actually know if he was wrong).However he was wrong about Brexit and hes wrong about this.

Hawking said he and fellow scientist James Hartle believed that the Big Bang and start of time... A quick lesson..... "Time is what allows us to do things if there was no time.. we couldn't do any-thing.. ergo If time is required for doing some-thing.. then how can time occur if there's no time for it to occur.. Which means time OCCURRED b4 the universe otherwise there would b no universe!!!!. Confused?? Good....

I thought we we all supposed to be cooked to death by then from manmade global warming? The only reason Hawkin ever promoted the idea that manmade global warming has been proven is to promote his ideas that we must get off this planet if we want to survive as a species. That I actually agree with him about. We must colonize something other than this planet if we want to ensure out survival, but dont use the guise of global warming to promote it.

That guy is brilliant. Even a half wit can work out that the human race has only a limited amount of time before it goes belly up. Nature is far clevery than humans. It is a cycle we will never understand.

Couldn't agree more. At present exponential population growth the continuance of a modern, safe, developing civilisation beyond a few decades is problematical. Hand to mouth existence is already common in many parts of the world. How long before it becomes the norm and any hope of artistic or scientific development founders in the mire? Add in war, lack of resources and biological problems....................

Anyone could have thought of that... many probably have. The same theory crossed my mind several times, the difference between us is that I didn't have to put much thought into coming up with it.
