We humans are the most likely cause of our own annihilation. Life has existed on Earth for more than 3 billion years and humans are trashing a large fraction of the life that has evolved on this planet - maybe we will hit the jackpot and kill all life. We couldn't have made a better effort if that was our plan!

I believe Stephen Hawking is being held hostage. He use to come out with ideas with a lot of thought behind it. Even acknowledging the existence of God. Than after that he retracted his statement about God and now publishes more philosophy than science. After seeing how liberals can be vindictive, controlling and hateful for not agreeing with them, I wouldn't be surprised.

I feel quite smug posting this comment; but I am confident that this earth will most definitely survive another thousand years. I read it some time ago and the author was quite dogmatic about it!!

Could he tell us where to go? We have been looking for intelligence life for over 50 yrs and still have not found any serious trace of it!
