In one way he is right , we will not last long since this man and his co- eggheads insist on spending vast sums trying to contact Alien species by flooding their airwaves with drivel . And they actually think the aliens will be like ET , warm and friendly , Instead of like the Europeans who invaded North America and practically wiped out the native Americans !

When will he stop boring us all?

I only need around another 20 years and then I'm gone... I don't want to live forever nor do I wish to explore space..... what happens in either 100 or 1000 years to planet earth is of no interest to me, probably the best thing that could happen to earth is for the human race to depart....

It is pointless wasting the money on space-flight, if we are gone in around a millennium, then chances of surviving any long period in space without Earth assistance of resources, engineering, perhaps a decade or two at the most.

We should explore planets from a distance, but not set foot on them, we will just destroy another beautiful planet. Humans are like plagues of locusts, destroying everything in our path, we keep on reproducing like rabbits, populations are through the roof, we should be keeping the population down, our planet cannot cope, countries need to limit the amount of children women can have.

Given Us election result, I would be extremely surprised if the human race survives another 5 years.. Probably best thing for all other earthly creatures.

Those like Stephen; who view existence in terms of matter alone - will always have to consider such nihilistic outcomes. This is the product of materialism. It totally ignores the inner strength of the spiritual basis of reality - within which many scenarios have their potential. And it is a scientific manipulation of the natural world which exacerbates and makes problematic our continued existence on this planet. A planet with such miraculous physical beauty, being disfigured and denuded, by the very science which purports to support it.

I don't see the need. If we ruin one planet, we'd simply ruin another. If we destroy Earth, then mankind is simply doomed to die by its own incredible stupidity. Just a darned shame we take all the animal species with us, unless man inadvertently (and stupidly) unleashes a disease that only kills people. It's just a matter of time what with incurable infections on the rise.

Stephen Hawking, I think you are an amazing person, but I have to tell you that everything you say is rubbish because it is all based on nothing. It is a shame because if any one deserves another chance at life it is you. Who knows, maybe you will suddenly wake up to the truth. why not give it a try. Try jw.org,
