Religion was created by man to control man. Oh, and to make a buck or two along the way. Tickets anyone?

We have physical and scientific proof of evolution but but no proof of God or Jésus, just stories written and changed over centuries.

This is the very spot where Jesus was born, yeah right. He was 30 before anyone knew who he was so how does anyone know the building was still standing? Someone has just picked a likely spot and built it up.Same as the so-called Holy Grail. How would the innkeeper know which was the cup used by Christ? They were a group of friends celebrating Passover, why should any of the cups or plates be singled out?I am a believer but I don't believe in the Holy Sepulchre or the Holy Grail.

So many spots, so many relics...you are right, people try to pinpoint here and pinpoint there, some might be accurate, some may not, however what it may be, the commemoration I find important myself...sort of like I read up on Jesus's birth a little bit and the origins of Christmas...and we don't really know the date from the Gospels, just that He was born in Bethlehem...so on Christmas, it is not about the exact date that we celebrate, rather, we celebrate the birth of our Lord...so if He was born right there in that exact spot, awesome. If it is not the exact spot, awesome. No one really cares. What matters is that when a believer goes there out of a pure heart and celebrates within themselves that God gave us His Son, then that is what it is all about.

TexasGuy -we do know the time of His birth -it is clearly referred to in Luke's Gospel- but it requires careful study & understanding of the Old Testament scriptures & sadly most NT only readers miss it. The appointed time was the Feast of Tabernacles (Succoth) Sept/Oct time according to the present calendar reckoning. December 25th is the birth day of every pagan sun god & nothing to do with the One True Living God nor His Son Yeshua. I know red arrows will be posted - it doesn't change GOD's Word or truth. 'Christmas' was only formally adopted around 454AD- after much pagan practice had infiltrated the 'assembly' - it was never kept by the early followers of Christ nor should it be now.

Part of the lie factory that is Christianity. And calling it Christmas does not make it a Christian festival. Just another hijacked occasion in the pagan calendar, that has been celebrated for at least 30,000 years.

It's not the first time that different traditions have been adopted by someone from outside the group. The pagans themselves would surely have "hijacked" some of whatever their contemporaries or forebears introduced them to.

"You must hate our Christian Flag, our Queen and our country Engel-land, Angel-land".Why, because I don't believe in a Middle East religion? It's not a Christian flag as the cross was used by pagans to symbolise the equinoxes. And I think you'll find England comes from Anglo-land, the Germanic group that invaded.

"To increase people's belief in this 'son of god born to a virgin' story that the folks made up a couple of hundred years ago to kick-off the new, improved god discovery thing, we'll add credence to it and create a great focal-point by pretending this is the birthplace". ............ Anyone who believes these fabricated tales really is gullible and as daft as a brush.

If we are to be punished for our human failings, perhaps God should not have created us as human's. It's all his fault!. >.<

TexasGuy5001Reply topraiseourlord
Punishment for our failings was dealt. Heavily. The only thing you will receive punishment for, will be your unbelief. But really, that will be you, punishing yourself. You choose not to believe. Proof and evidence abounds, so much so, that the unbelievers will be without excuse. Absolutey none. He made a Way. It is your choice to believe and accept. He never said it was easy to believe...it isn't...He said you must have faith like a child. Difficult some times, but, doable. If you do not, that is your choice. Again, that will be your choice. Funny thing is, as soon as you choose to believe, things start to happen, within. I accepted Christ when I was 5, and 35 years later, my faith has been strengthened by seeing Him work in my life, so much so, that now, my faith is stronger. I will pray for you. I understand it is not easy, but please, please, do not say that God 'wants' to punish humans for our failings...He takes no delight in seeing us in pain...but He cannot choose for us

I would love to go and see this in person. But this is the next best thing for now. Thank you for posting this DM. And for all of you non-believers, you should explore and study the Bible more. There has never been any evidence proving anything contained in it is wrong. And this is 1 of 1000's of sites that PROVES it is right!

Any serious study of what the bible actually is, and how it came to be, will reveal it as largely myth, imagination, and legend, with the odd historical fact thrown in. And as for "....never been any evidence...." all I can say is ; there's none so blind as those who WON'T see.

Christianity is a mishmash of several so-called Mystery Religions based more on myths and legends of these religions mixed with Judaism. To anthropomorphise god, i.e., make him human so you can relate to him, by saying he was a man is what religions have done since time immemorial and is utter nonsense. That includes Christianity. However, to celebrate with family and friends and give presents, etc., is a nice thing and social. As noted previously, both Christmas and Easter were pagan Roman holidays appropriated by Christianity, like so much of it was and thus became institutionalised. So, we celebrate it today . . . as a social event, full stop.

Everything you have said is true, so it's inevitable that it will be red-arrowed by the gullible nu,jo,bs to whom evidence, proof and truth are to be shunned as they are not faith-reliant.

People that believe this tosh can only be described as naive and simple minded, Apart from the alleged birth nothing was heard from this child for the next couple of decades. So how they can come up with this guff I have no idea.
