Watch out for that always improving laser defense system. As long as it's taking to improve hypersonic offense even particle beam defense will improve.

Wait a minute, let's get these straight......

The news said China has conducted a test of its new hypersonic weapon and thus is its seventh successful test. The report also said the US & Russia are also developing these hypersonic weapons & the American will only have hypersonic weapons operational by the 2020s. Now can anyone here tells me which of the 3 nations started this hypersonic weapon technology? And therefore who is / are "copying" or "stealing" whose technology??

China is still ripping of DARPA's hypersonic art/pictures from almost a decade ago.....

It's great that these "Super Powers" are unable to show any real concern for humanity, peace or the health of the planet but instead are pre-occupied with territory grabbing, economic domination and projecting power, hence these weapons. All these stupid SOB's deserve to be voted off the island

Not as fast as a ballistic missile. But, it's the thought that counts.

Hmm? I think you just made a very stupid comment

why stupid? an icbm reaches speeds well over 11000 miles per hour.

[ 0 ] [ 0 ]
matthewReply tojerryk

oh but they are ballistic....now, see when it was pointed out that the original WU-14 would never reach a carrier battle group, it adapted, grew a ballistic booster. Will be interesting to see how they get around the laser targeting issue....look for a new model soon with capabilities well beyond that of US weapons ...the world of make believe is so much fun!

Do we really need better weapons to end all life on this planet?

Really? then why does the illustration above have the USAF log on it? Better check your facts Kyle.

Are you really that dense that you think it is an actual picture and not an illustration?

Of course it will be armed with a nuclear warhead eventually!

Clue: They already have one.

[ 0 ] [ 0 ]
matthewReply toVladimir

yeah and they could use it to destroy a carrier battle group......and when they do their whole country will go through exactly what sailors of that bg went through.

Carriers are essentially useless in a war now against any major power.

I really don't believe that America's nuclear arsenal will be the targets. Two or three nuclear blast by both sides in each country , which will happen will pretty much " coitus " both China and America along with the rest of the civilized and muslim world.

Let's suppose you own a successful buisness.

Now let's suppose you have a customer who accounts for 40% of your business.

Now let's suppose that same customer owed you a lot of money in receivables

Now let's suppose that same customer outweighs you by 100 lbs of solid muscle

Why would you punch them in the mouth?

dave, what if the Democrat administration bankrupts the country and they cannot pay?

Ok. Sure. Only democrats waste taxpayer dollars and run up debt.

What is it with the human need to develop things that kill in huge numbers?

[ 0 ] [ 0 ]
Mr. HenryReply toScott

I think it has something to do with the human desire for power, and the human need to defend against the other human's desire for power.

If we can surely convince the American whites we can annihilate all of the white men in one day and give their women a clear option to mate with whichever good guy they find, most of our homicidal mania will evaporate into thin air. This is a fact

Say what ever you want but the Chinese leadership is pretty level headed. These capabilities will be used more of a deterrence more than anything.

All these stories are lies by Westerner to counter China rise, so what are the motives, to boost and sale weapon to SCS nations.

Wonder who China is gonna invade first when they feel like they can stand up to any U.S. intervention with their own independent military capabilities. When you spend money so much on tools of war, eventually you are gonna use them for it to make economic sense. The U.S. and Russia have both already figured this one out a long time ago.

They will take Taiwan.

They will attack and try to take Taiwan, maybe.

That means you are the biggest threat and you are eventually going to use your massive number of toys. You spend 682 Billion for the military and their toys after all! China 140 Billion, Russia 80

We're not expanding our territory into the seas like China. Very greedy.

Every nation's excuse for military build-up is "defense". Which nation has attacked, tried to subvert, attempted assassinations, taught other "friendly" right-wing leaders to torture, overthrown governments, has the most military bases on foreign soils, has been the most belligerent, has allies whose war budgets exceed 10 times the total of Russia's and China's budgets, and has spent the most on the war industry over the past 60+ years? Hint: It’s not Belgium.

The U.S. is probably a little behind because we have some weapons much better than this.
