Yes it's very cruel....... it should be stopped....... but the complete lack of compassion or consideration for a man who has just been killed, a man with a family, is astounding but not entirely surprising behaviour from the soulless DM'ers.

No one forced him to be a bullfighter. He chose a profession that involves taunting, torturing, killing a dangerous animal. That is the entire job. He knew the risks.

Can you see the blood pouring from the bull..? It's been taunted and speared by this matador for human enjoyment. He deserved to die!

@sjb - It's actually a host of other people who half kill the bull before the matador even gets in the ring. If it was simply the romanticized man against bull contest there'd be mo matadors left very quickly.

Really they should round the horns of the bull as the bull has killed him with a puncture wound.tragic but died doing a sport he loved and the bull gets to fight which bulls love.you all eat meat remember and there are various ways of killing meat to provide food.you all seem to think British way slaughterhouse is the way but other cultures at least bless an animal before a quick kill with a throat cut rather than a machine kill.

Bullfighting is a centuries old event that is practiced in MANY countries, not just in spain ( France,Colombia, Portugal, Venezuela, Peru and in Mexico where its popularity is off the charts) ....many people in spain find cage fighting and boxing barbaric (plenty of deaths and serious injueries in those sports where human beings batter other human beings to a pulp)...

To everyone whose reply to outcries for this 'sport' to be banned, is :'It is a part of a culture, who are we to protest it?' here you have another spin on this. Since a life of a bull who is purposely stressed out, chased, stabbed and than killed is completely irrelevant and unworthy of raising a voice against this, even if know how much fear these animals are being put through for the sake of a show, does the same standard apply for humans as well? Are you still indifferent when it comes to 'tradition' of other country, when people are violently losing life for the sake of a show?Or is it now more disturbing that a young life has been lost, while we refuse to stand against this practice, just because it is 'old'. Throughout human history, many similar or worse kinds of entertainment were existing and than disappeared because we as humans and realized that there is no place for savage ways of entertaining crowds. You don't care about animals. Fine! Don't you at least care about humans?
