What do you say Guts63? OK to barbarically kill or maime innocent animals? But it is hard to feel sorry for someone whose choice was to pit his wits and weapons against an innocent bull and lost. How many had he killed before being killed? Not to mention the ridiculous tradition of killing the bloodline of the bull. Maybe if we did that with the matadors, their families and friends might not be so keen for their murdering sons and husbands to take up the "sport" in the first place.bumblekitten
All the horrible and callous comments on here are absolutely shocking,..a young man has died. Says more about those making the comments than anything else. Bull fighting is horrible I agree, however, unless you are a vegetarian, and I suspect many passing comment are not, you have no right to judge, when all your meat just dies in terror and excrement for your plate,.......... nicely hidden from your eyes.Or those who say they love animals, then keep pets, to whom, they are quite happy to feed the bodies of other animals from tins or packets.. No, I am not a vegetarian, but neither would I make light of someones death.Say NO to tyranny
If any one here who is complaining against this sport eats meat, then you should shut Up! You support an even more evil industryKardashianity
Hopefully they beat the bull to death afterwards. And lol @ people praising injury of their fellow man. I bet they are silent as they can be whenever the chickens, cows, and pigs they eat are abused beforehand. Hypocrites. The Avenger
Their tradition. That's how they have lived. How hypocritical are the British? They left the EU with claims of not liking the rules and how they were imposed and now you want to dictate to the Spanish? Absolute nonsense. What if the Brits were told not to eat Pork or Pheasant etc? Will they, of course not its their tradition and don't claim bull fighting is cruel either, its their tradition.eloiselilyReply toThe Avenger
Before you starting getting all technical here, his is animal abuse. Nothing more. It's taunting and aggravating the animal and abusing it. How is that OK? I am guessing you support trophy hunting and fox hunting and the cull of the badgers too?? And by the way - do you know how many people in the UK in the last year have become vegetarians and vegans? It has literally doubled and more and more people are swapping or telling their kids to no longer eat meat. I myself am a vegetarian and I don't know a single person who would Pheasant. So the majority of UK people are changing their ways and sorry for the majority of UK people thinking that BULL FIGHTING is animal abuse when it clearly is. This guy deserved to die and I hope he felt the worst possible pain when he did too. Shame the bull didn't kill the rest of the fightersgemininzReply toThe Avenger
Yulin in China also has a "tradition" of rounding up thousands of dogs and then slaughtering and eating them. Is this right? Of course it isn't. The British are not hypocritical in abhorring this sort of cruelty - they CARE about animals. Obviously you don't!The AvengerReply toThe Avenger
All of you are the Idiots here. You have to resort to abuse to get your points across.. Whether you buffoons like it or not, IT IS THEIR TRADITION. You can't stop it, get over it. I don't care for those who became vegans etc. I still enjoy meat. Your insults mean nothing and really make no difference. London is my home by the way and WE the Brits are hypocrites. Intelligent or not, its how they live and have lived, get over yourselves. Horse racing is also abuse but none of you are moaning are you? Vile idiots. The AvengerReply toThe Avenger
GEM from York, you're a piece of work aren't you? I bet you voted to stay out of the EU, so why the hell do you even care. The animals are not yours, the Spanish are not killing British animals. Game hunting in Britain was banned, stick to British borders. Fact is, even in Britain none of you buffoons can change the law, you do what you're told. You brains can't get around that basic fact. Venting your pathetic frustration on here will NOT change ANYTHING.chelo12
It is disturbing how many people are glad how this bull fight ended. I will just bet many of these people eat meat as well. Hypocrites! I found it gut wrenching to see the graphic pics of the bull fighter being gored. He was only 29 and my prayers go out to his family, loved ones and wife. I am still reeling from the graphic tragedy.roman.emperor
MORE PEOPLE DIE diving cars, yet they continue drive cars. Why not cut bulls horn?Iamcorrect
I hope they destroyed that bull. Poor man. Does the bull not realise it is entertainment?Reality Chick
I am truly shocked by the comments here. I'm not a bullfighting fan. But it is beyond the pale for anyone to say that a bull's life is worth more than a human life. Sure, ban bullfighting. But don't gloat over the death of a young man.A girl has no nameReply toReality Chick
He chose to be a matador, he chose to wear embellished clothes and to torment bulls in front of a public for a living. The bull was scared, probably even sedated and reacted to protect his life. The matador got what he asked for. If they don't want to be killed from bulls they should stop tormenting them.Lauriemae
Yes bull fighting is wrong. But any person who says that a young man deserved to die is sick in the head. Just stop and think about what you're saying. You are saying that a young person in his prime with a family deserved to be gored to death. You, in my opinion are worse than the people who partake in this cultural activity, wrong though it may be.updown.center.inside
good for th death of the dr.unk Brittish teenagers falling from balconies, they don't let the neighbours sleeping quietlyChris Eve
The comments here show a real ignorance and lack of perspective. Anyone read Hemmingway? Anyone actually been to a bull fight and understood how the animals are treated relative to modern farming techniques? Thought not. RIP heroic Matador.Eofric The Grey
Hemingway wrote in 'Death in the Afternoon' that Bullfighting is the only sport where the participant risks his life for honour! Viva La Corrida!
