Villagers kill GIGANTIC swollen snake they thought had eaten livestock... only to discover it was filled with scores of eggs

I'm not going to lie but if I saw a snake that big I would crap myself but this was totally unnecessary and they kill that snake purely for those babies...so backwards

Just very sad...kill another creature for the benefit of humans...imagine aliens coming to earth who where infinitely more intelligent than us....would that give them the right to put us in farms, breed us then eat us, kill our babies like lambs because they taste nicer.

Gruesome and sad. And dare I say any excuse to kill it? I'm sure these people know what a calf inside a snake looks like...

For all of u saying that the people who killed the snake are disgusting, put urself in the men's places.They have livestock to look after and if their livelihood gets taken away, they can no longer feed themselves or their families.

Thailand has had a rat problem in it`s rice fields because the idiots have been killing snakes to drink their blood and in the process have allowed the rats to overbreed so they are now using health affecting rodenticides.

Whatever. I would not feel comfortable with that snake in the vicinity.

They knew it was an egg laden female,and that's just money to them.If the snake had just eaten a calf it wouldn't be swollen the length of it's body,even I know that !

Personally find the images disgusting ..... BUT it must be said, for all of the silly comments on here calling them backwards, it clearly states, they thought it was killing their livestock therefore, killed in error! Its is a massive snake, that could of killed a child .... how does that make them backwards?????How many people in westernised countries eat things like 'Foie Gras' which is a hidious thing to do to an animal. Those who can afford it will eat caviar etc etc... there are lots of things that some of us find disgusting to eat, but to start name calling people for being culturally different is just ignorant. The world is full of people who do not live the same lives or think in the same way!

If the snake had eaten a calf, would the 'bulges' not have been visable? I think this snake has been killed just for being a snake and of course the possibility of selling the eggs.

So they killed it for food then not anything else.
