Says someone who has survived much longer than expected. The irony!

Having high intelligence doesn't mean you have a lot of common sense

Religion will be the main destruction of the worlds population.

Just think we could travel through space find a nice green Planet and totally screw that up as well.

It's over breeding that will do for us. There will be no wildlife, no green spaces and insufficient food and water.

Earth is becoming "fragile" BECAUSE of us humans. God help any other planet we decide to infest!

This planet could be rather nice if we got rid of 2/3 of the worlds population but no matter what happens be it war, drought, recession, crop failure etc humans just keep breeding like rats even where the resources are totally depleted.

We will take our problems with us wherever we go....the continuity of our species it is not guaranteed on other planets.

1000 years is incredibly optimistic. Overpopulation and war will bring about the end of this world far sooner than that.

You cannot get 10 billion people to another planet, there's no budget for that. Lets say you can afford and have the tech to get one thousand people on board a shuttle a send them away in daily launches ten years non-stop, without skipping a single day... even though, you'd only manage to save 3.650.000 people. Even if it were x100 it'd be futile. Stop daydreaming.

1000 years? I'll give it 50 at best the way things are going.

The best thing we could do to save the planet is not have any children for the next 120 years.............

1000 years? lets just see if we survive the next 20 -- power politics and nationalism is coming back and the world is a lot smaller than pre 1939.With such distrust in systems and states will see things unscramble quickly and unpredictably.

It's ok, I don't plan to live that long...
