Humans will NOT survive another 1,000 years on Earth, says Stephen Hawking: Physicist warns we must 'escape beyond our fragile planet'

Don't you all think we have ENOUGH spaced out people living on the planet already Mr Hawking?

Who knows but one thing is certain you and everyone alive just now won't care because we will be long gone

The problem is, wherever we go these dangers will follow us there.

None of the experts predicted that Stephen Hawking would survive as long as he has here on Earth in being able to make this prediction. A lot of people predicted Hillary Clinton would be US President Elect by now. Ho hum!

I wonder of how many of those who mention of over populating in the comment section of this article were remainers of the referendum, because consequently with the free movement of immigrants and immigrants extending their families whilst living here and open borders means that wildlife will be decimated as well as our green belts to make way for more housing etc.

Great - so humans destroy planet earth and he recommends we go out and find some other planet to destroy. The universe is better off without humans causing death, destruction, war and disease!!

You don't need to be Stephen Hawking to see what the future holds - massive overpopulation, denuding of natural resources, ever more violent clashes over the resources that remain, religious extremism, the electing of idiots to positions of power. Our species has had it and to be honest the well being of the planet will be the better for it. What a waste.

These egg heads have a distinct LACK of basic logic . The human race are destroying the planet , so instead of taking action that can make a difference they want to spend trillions of Dollars on finding ways to run away instead of sorting the problems out . Look at the idiotic fools in charge in the UK , They permit 1ST class arable land to be used for solar farms when there is no shortage of land that cannot be used for farming .

Why would we want to inflict the human race on another planet? Look at the way we treat each other, treat animals, treat this planet - is the idea that we move from planet to planet destroying everything. Concentrate on improving the human race first.

If we humans make it to the stars, then our huge advances in Science and Technology will have to be matched with huge advances in the field of Human Kindness.

The truth being, that the fragile Earth can't take another 1000 years of humans, and for the sake of the planet we should leave!

Instead of protecting the natural environment of the one planet we know can (could) support us, humans choose to wreck it with pollution, fracking, mining, oil sands, plastic waste, etc., and then go looking for another planet to inhabit... How stupid can you get?!

Yes, let's find another planet to ruin! Don't know about 1,000 years I'd give it couple of hundred before it's uninhabitable.
