Are you all actually serious? This happens thousands of times everyday to chickens, pigs, cows etc in our UK slaughterhouses, but that is OK? I am going to hazard a guess that the majority of commentators eat meat, if you eat meat your opinion on this matter is meaningless and hypocritical. They aren't endangered, they are being used for food, fuel and are killed by licensed professionals and don't suffer. The population of these whales is healthy, It's far better for the environment than importing beef from abroad which has been intensively farmed on land that was once rainforest. People need the full story before they assume this is barbaric. The illegal whaling going on in Japan or China has nothing to do with this, it's obviously a terrible practice.
