Security theatre. St Tropez hosts the wealthiest billionaires and film stars every summer. It's not about safety but showing the rich and wealthy something is being done to protect THEM.Nice has an army base next to the beach, they have always been there. They have only been patrolling in town since the Charlie Hebdo attack.And Cannes is just being pathetic. But as I said previously, Nice surpassed Cannes as a destination à while ago so no great loss.Phillip.
