It is not in our DNA. Hawking is asking us to disassociate ourselves from our genetic makeup. Not even possible!! The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are a far more accurate predictor of man's place in this world. Doomsaying you reply? Yes, I suppose. If humankind can get past the next 30 years without bringing about nuclear annihilation, then the future looks bright-ish, but the world population will be considerably lower than it is now. The human animal of 100 years from now will be noticeably different in terms of mental traits and its approach to life compared to the one that exists now.

the human greed as forced up prices of everything in the drive for profit and more and more higher wages, earn more and the product increases so folk want even more, factory owners then want more profit to pay higher wages and to pay the extra for the stock he needs and it just goes on.
