We've been sending messages into space ever since the first radio transmissions 100 years ago. They will have have reached a distance of 100 light years from Earth by now.

Yes I think the universe is probably teeming with life and we are regarded as a nursery planet / Amazonian tribe. Left alone till we show some manners ;)

Why would any intelligent life want to come and visit..we have yet to learn to co-exist and stop killing each other...by any measure we must be seen to be very primitive and not worth the effort to visit.

Messages have been leaving the earth since 1906. This is simply just a way of making the messages understandable.

Whatever you do, do NOT send them episode of the GBBO........... it might just give them some ideas.

And if the aliens come here and think that this would be an awesome planet to claim for themselves, what then? Perhaps we should meet with them somewhere in outer space rather than in our backyard.

Why bother? By the time they get here, the human race will have destroyed everything, including itself; and whatever arrived might feel like eating any human survivors. .
