We've been doing that since the advent of radio.....and them TV. Remember all those corny 1950s TV shows? Alien civilisations may be receiving them now and learning about us from what the see and hear. Sad, isn't it?

If they find us, they are going to destroy us. Only one percent of our species has any intellectual or artistic value. The rest may have sentimental value, but only to us.

The only redeeming thing I can think off is IF any alien species 'got the message' is that by the time they get here I'll be long gone...unless of course they have FTL ( faster than light ) travel...or can duck through a convenient wormhole to get here...in which case i'm screwed :-/

We should keep our heads down until we're at least a type one, multi solar system civilization. Maybe type two.

Once contacted, we can't uncontact.... so best have an open mind and hope it's the good ones....
