United States to adopt bison as national mammal

What took so long. It's about time. Such a wonderful animal. Just think they once covered the plains but are just a few from what they once was.

Well, that's the least we can do for them, considering WE nearly wiped them out from pure greed, and greed alone.

Great news. A magnificent animal to be appointed the national mammal.

I got a neat idea! Let's put them on the face of a coin.

The Bald Eagle is already our national mammal. Why is obama trying to change our country and destroy it? We need to make America great again sooner rather then latter.

It means nothing if they continue to slaughter up to a thousand of the bison, every year when the welfare ranchers demand more room for their livestock.

The Buffalo Bills should change their name to the Buffalo Bison.

I think this is a great idea. I think the animal is truly an icon. A close friend of mine farms these animals in the central Texas Hill Country and they are beautiful.

Given our history, maybe the wolf or grizzly would better represent our national history.

After decades of trying to wipe them off the planet I guess it's about time we give in and give them their due recognition.

The Bison have attitude for good reason wolves, Grizzlies and cougars take the old and the injured and young. Kind of like being attacked by the 1%.

That would be great. These creatures are so majestic and they epitomize the strength of this country.

The people of this country have taken so much from the bison to the point of near extinction so it's about time we gave them there just due.

I am glad the congress has the important stuff done. Now they can do this.

I'm so happy our Representatives are doing SOMETHING!

Nice to see obstructionist Congress get something really important (not) done, but then it didn't need a compromise did it.

Thank the good Lord! I was worried about not having a national mammal. I'm relieved congress is continuing to prioritize so well!

OMG, you mean Congress agreed and actually did something? I guess this will be Obama's greatest legacy!

They finally agreed on something. I only wonder what "riders" went along with it and how much it is going to cost the tax payer or what freedom they are going to take away.
