Really wouldn't have hurt to cover your nakedness up and have some modesty. No one needs to see you naked and there's no reason to be naked.CateReply tonull
Yes, there is a reason to be naked if you are a self centered, obsessive narcissist who believes they are so important that their "posts" will change the world. Looking forward to her breast feeding "selfies" in department stores and hipster coffee shops where she can park her gigantic pram the size of a VW.sorbarules
As a Labor & Delivery nurse I am amazed at the skewed views as to the dangers of childbirth, and all the "dangerous bacteria and ickies, etc." lurking outdoors. The majority of births happen without complications, although I would advise of the benefits of having a trained nurse -midwive or doctor present. Also, unless it's polluted by humans (chemical run-off), or used as a toilet (as rivers are sometimes used to bath in and used as toilets in some countries) It's extremely unlikely for there to be anything present that would cause harm to the baby. Both mother and baby are well. So, all's well that ends well. Glad she got her wish.BexReply tosorbarules
She was hours from medical help should she have needed it. Would you really recommend that? Plus whilst not an everyday problem things like wiles disease or protozoa are in rivers/streams and are a real threat especially to a newborn (not forgetting the crocodiles that live in that particular river!!)Phoebe
Is nothing private anymore?? I'd not let her young kids watch her in that state, good God. So glad I chose not to have kids..... Labour and birth look horrific.....Mrslonglegs
Lovely birth, lovely to be outside. I did find it strange that she lay on her back once the head appeared instead of maintaining the crouching position though. Isn't lying on your back one of the hardest, unnatural positions championed by doctors in medicalised births? Oh well, well done to her for having the beautiful birth she wanted.Poet
This is how women would of given birth for millenia before the invention of hospitals and even modern housingSephora
Cowering on all fours" - are you serious? This woman is giving birth. There is nothing more powerful! Say whatever you want as to her birthing practices but she is most definitely not "cowering.Marmalade sky
Maybe not a hippy Dippy, but definately an attention seeker. And moves on very quickly after the death of a "life partner"MeReply toMarmalade sky
I just went back and read it again - the child is four. You don't know when he partner died - it could have been very soon after the birth - let's for arguments sake say it was two years ago. How long do you think she should stay on her own for, with children, mourning? How long is enough for you? 3 years? 4? 5 years? I honestly can't get over your disgusting comment.Marmalade skyReply toMarmalade sky
Me....You never get over the death of someone you have really loved. especially not within the couple of years she did, I know this because I wa a young mother of 2 with a dead partner. I honestly can't get over your lack of realism about the long emotional path of recovery. lucky you for never being in this situation.
